This whole thing is asinine, IMHO. Mary Winkler is the guilty one! She's trying to act like she has done nothing wrong. Mr & Mrs Winkler are suffering all the way around; not only have they lost a son due to murder, they have lost their grandchildren to a murderer that shot their Dad with them in the house! I have NO sympathy for Mary Winkler.
Neither do I. But the media sure loves her and apparently so does this judge. There is really no justice here. She got less time for shooting a man in the back while he slept then Michael vick got for dog fighting. Dan & Diane are good people.... They are not getting treated properly.
I don't understand why the media, like you stated, seem to love Mary. Mary would have got MUCH more time had it not been for the attorneys she had.
Mary seems to be making a joke out of this to see what she can get out of it.
So, so sad for the children and Mr & Mrs Winkler.
It's not that we "love Mary", it's that this is an interesting story that many people are following. Also, Mary Winkler does not shy away from the media so it's easy to get video of her or even try to get a comment. Winkler's attorneys are totally responsible for the sentence she received as are the prosecutors in that case...

So you like to go after the easy stories, then? Why not try out some real journalism?
So is that why the reporting always seemed biased against the elder Winklers? Because they have dignity and Mary Winkler is a media hound?
What happened to unbiased journalism without the slant?
We really would like to know the high points that the elder Winklers attorneys are making too instead of Turners yada, yada, yada, constantly.
