Have any questions been asked of Mary about her church attendance, whether she would take the children to church if they were with her on Sundays, etc.?
I hope Dan and Diane Winkler win this custody case. Mary Winkler should never have custody of those children!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is a murderer plain and simple.
Can you imagine what men would want to date these girls now when they get older because of what their mother has done? Diane Winkler pointed this out in the murder trial, and it's true really. When these girls begin to date what man do you know would truthfully want to date any of them with a mother like she is to just shoot and kill her husband when she could have just left if she wanted to.
My prayer is that Mary Winkler doesn't even get visitation rights for these children. They have been through enough, let them be happy where they are. Dan and Diane Winkler are very loving and understanding people, they are good for the girls.
I don't think that Mary should have custody of these children. They are much better off in the care of the Winklers. The future of the children is at steak, and sending them back with Mary will only make matters worse. Has anyone said anything about the short or long term effects of Mary's actions?
This woman was convicted and served her time. As long as there are regular checkups on her and the children SHE SHOULD HAVE THEM BACK. I am sure that the Winklers have told them all sorts of horror stories about their mother, and whose to say that Dan Winkler doesn't treat his wife just like Mary was treted by her husband?
Mary has never once said that she loves her children. Doesn't that seem strange. Personally I don't think she really does love them, she just wants them so that she can get her greedy hands on the money that has been put in a fund for the girls. Mr. & Mrs. Dan Winkler are taking good care of the girls and bring them up in a Christian environment. They are just where they need to be.
I agree Mary should not have her children back. She should have stopped and thought about her children and wanting them b4 she shot and killed their father.

If she loves the girls as she claims now...she would leave them alone and let them CHOOSE to see her when they are OLD ENOUGH to understand and make their OWN DECISION!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK TO DAN AND DIANE WINKLER!!!!!!!!
SIDE NOTE:::: I was married to a man who abused me...but I LEFT I didnt kill him...people need to STOP using that as some sort of "crutch" to lean on. It is a chose to leave or to stay....she choose to stay and then....

Putting these children back with Mary is like sentencing them to murder....EMOTIONALLY! Leave the girls in the Christian home they are in...God is the only person who can help them now, and Dan and Diane are His disciples to get that help done.
Mary was convicted and served some time. She wasn't fairly convicted or sentenced. This is sending out the message that it's ok to use abuse as an excuse and get away with it. This message is going out not only to the people that are watching, but to her children. What do you think is in store for them if they got back to Mary.

Those children need to stay with the people that will protect them and keep then emotionally and physically stable. Mary will only bring them down with her.
Mary has brought light on our christian community.it seems to me they are so un christian as to their teachings.we are looking at the top of church leaders,whom believe that forgivness is the cornerstone to their faith,,however they cannot bring their faith to forgive Mary and work out a solution for mary and her (her) children. They are showing control,that is unchristian. I am sure the courts after talking to the kids will work for the best solution for the kids,,its just a shame that this could have not been worked out any other way.....
